I am a professional multi-rotor designer and builder. I was lucky enough to come across these motors on www.buddyrc.com and I am very glad I did. I put these on a build just to see if I would like them. My H4 Hornet flew perfectly and no balancing was required. All of my H4 Hornets from my site, www.longrangerc.com will now be equipped with these motors. The power and control is perfect and the response you get will be remarkable. I give them an A++ rating and recommend them to any person wanting build a great flying medium size multi-rotor. (Posted on February 21, 2015)

Best lipo battery I have used for my Tarot Y6. Review by wrong17 All my reviews  (1)

By reading all the other reviews I was convinced to give these Lipo battery a try. I used this 4S lipo on my Tarot FY680 converted to a Y6. My setup, SunnySky 3508 580KV Motors, 13x5.5 T style CF Props, with a total take off wight of 2600g and that includes the lipo, camera gimbal with Gopro. I get about 12 minutes of flight time and I land once my telemetry from my Futaba 14SG radio say my the voltage drops to 14.6v. When I use my PL8 to charge the battery, it shows that I have a lower IR (Internal Resistance) compared to any other 4s batteries I have used. That includes Turnigy, Zippy, and ThunderPower G6. That might explain why I get better flight times with these battery. The problem with the other batteries I used it the quick drop in voltage over a short time. Meaning I am able to maintain and use up more of the Glacier battery while the Turnigy voltage drops to 14.6v quicker. So when the Glacier battery hits my cut off voltage of 14.6v it used up 3/4 of its capacity. Whereas the Turnigy hits the cut off voltage when I use about 1/2 of the pack. So the turngy still have lots of energy still, but cannot maintain the consistent draw of power. Even though the turnigy is rated at 45C constant draw, the Glacier still able to maintain its voltage longer. So in the end, I get about 7 min on the turnigy and 12 min on the glacier. One last thing.... keep in mind that my frame is a Y6, so it is less efficient compared to a standard Hex. So you can expect and gain about 10 - 15% more flight time.

Just got the motors. Wires are very long and I only needed few centimeters. After cutting those extra wires that I don't need, the new weight is just around 85 grams.

6 of these motors were used on a recent Tarot FY690S hexacopter build, using 4S and 1238 props. The long motor wires allowed me to keep my ESC on the fuselage, so I didn't have to modify my ESC cap's. These motors run very cool, according to my OSD, they have enough power for better flight times than the airframe manufacturers motor recommendations are getting, according to other flyers. On 4S 10,000mAh, these motors afford me 20 mins in the air (with video to prove it) on a 3500 gram Hexa. My ONLY complaint is the mounting holes on the motor mounts needed to be modified to accept the "non-standard" motor mount dimensions. Other than that...I could not be happier!
