Description

The Mamba Micro X2 represents an upgraded version of our popular Mamba Micro X ESC. This innovative ESC introduces several enhancements, including an extended maximum input voltage of up to 4s. Notably, we've incorporated DATA LOGGING and our cutting-edge CRYO-DRIVE™ TECHNOLOGY, which optimizes ESC performance, ensuring it runs cooler and more efficiently, especially during partial throttle operation. Like its predecessor, the Mamba Micro X2 maintains its waterproof* feature and offers SENSORED MOTOR SUPPORT.

This ESC is a perfect choice for builders who prioritize weight savings or have limited space, making it suitable for low-speed crawling or trail running applications in vehicles weighing up to 8lbs when powered by 2s or 3s batteries. It can also accommodate slightly more aggressive setups, such as rock racing and extended hill climbing, in vehicles up to 4lbs. For optimal performance, we recommend Castle's "Slate" crawler motors (combos available) and the Holmes Hobbies Puller Pro 540 "Stubby" (≤ 2700kv) motors.

A note worthy update as of June 14, 2023: The internal BEC (Battery Eliminator Circuit) is now reinstated! All Mamba Micro X2 ESCs produced on or after June 2023 come equipped with the internal BEC. To identify the manufacturing date, check the side of the ESC box or the ESC's receiver wire. ESCs manufactured between August 2022 and May 2023 do not include an internal BEC but come with an external 10-amp CC BEC; for more details, click here.

For those seeking a more aggressive setup in a heavier vehicle, particularly for rock racing and extended hill climbing, we recommend using the Mamba X ESC. Similar to its predecessor, it offers enhanced features tailored for rock crawling, including an active drag brake and drag brake ramp.

*Although the Mamba Micro X2 is waterproof, it is not intended for operation while completely submerged in liquid. They can corrode when exposed to corrosive materials, such as salt water. Always rinse the ESC with clean water after exposure to corrosives or dirt. While the controller may be waterproof, we suggest users confirm that the rest of their vehicle, including the batteries, servos, radio and chassis are also waterproof before exposing them to liquids of any kind.

Tech Notes:

Running modes: SMARTSENSE™, Sensored, Sensorless with Castle sensored capable ESCs.

Water Resistant Design: The sensor board is coated with silicone conformal coating to protect the sensors from moisture. The sensor connections are not water resistant; water can cause signal loss which could result in loss of sensored capabilities. Castle recommends applying dielectric grease to the outside of the sensor wire connections after installation of the wire. Routine maintenance is recommended after running in wet conditions. Please refer to this document for running and maintaining motors in wet environments.
