Still going after Three years of punishment !

Monster performance from a tiny motor. I know the 2206 1900kv is generally used for bigger props and lower volts. Using 4s and a 5.25x6.25 prop in a tiny plane absolutely rips! My claim is this is the “fastest plane on the planet with the propeller held on with a rubber O-ring”. I challenge anyone to prove me wrong!

Great little motor

I installed this motor on my Twisted Hobbys Mini Crack Pitts. It provides plenty of smooth power. I've definitely become a SunnySky and Buddy RC fan.

. Good motor for 32" EPP 3D planes

The Sunnsky X2206 has been a good motor for 32" EPP 3D planes. I am using the 1900 kV version because I only fly with 2S lipos and the 1500kV wasn't available when I made my purchase.

SunnySky X2206 1900kv motor - good 1/2A glow alternative

Great motor for foam pylon racers. I just bought four more for the 23" wingspan foam board profile RC pylon racers I build for club racing. These weigh about 12 ounces all-up, fly near 70 mph and need a higher Kv motor for more RPM to get the higher top end. The SunnySky 2206 1900Kv motors are a great match for these with a 3S lipo battery, 15 amp ESC and an APC 5.25" x 5.5" prop. I measured 11.41 amps and 131 watts with this set-up. Too bad they do not publish the performance data for 3S batteries as this is where this little motor performs best. I would say performance is similar to the old 1/2A glow Norvel .049 glow engines. It looks fragile, but is sturdier than it looks. For streamer combat where more power is required, I swap it out with the premium 1850Kv SunnySky X-2305-V3 motor on a 3S battery and an APC 5.2 x 6.0 prop. It is a direct drop in replacement as it has the same 25 gram weight and mounting dimensions of the X2206. Static, it draws 14.47 amps and produces 163.5 watts. I mention it here because the 1850 kv version has been out of stock since early this year and is just now back in stock... so I bought 6 of them to tide me over in case they go out of stock again.

Description

X series of motors are processed by CNC milling, the hollow-designed appearance not only guarantee good heat dissipation, but also greatly reduce motor weight. In addition, it also make motors look more strong at visual. Stainless steel solid shaft

The motor shaft is made of 420 stainless steel material imported from Japan. After heat treatment, the shafts are improved to high strength, excellent ductility, and better resistance to bending and breaking.

6061-T6 Aviation aluminum alloy

Top and bottom caps are made of high strength 6061-T6 aviation aluminum alloy, with high hardness and high strength of extension, which can ensure reliable performance of motors.

Imported NMB bearings

X series uses customized NMB mini bearings imported from Japan, which provide longer life, quiet and stable operation of these motors.
