WOW!

Amazing motor (x2212). Turns a 13x4APCSF on 2s1000mah in a 3dFoamie for 8mins. with no straining and no apparent heating of motor, ESC or batt. Quiet, powerful, responsive to the stick, useful speed range, and .... wait for it ...... WELL MADE! All the machining, assembly, and finishing is very high quality. Plus there is that price advantage. I will buy more SS motors. Further, BuddyRC is an amazing fast shipper and seems to keep all this good stuff in stock.

not reliable on 4s

its a good motor, but use 3s only, 4s with a 7 or 8 inch prop will make the motor stop, im currently running it 3s with an 8X4 on a bixler3 and its great.

SunnySky X2212-2450Kv motor

I bought the SunnySky 2212-2450kv motor to replace a Suppo A2212-6 2200kv motor I had on my 1 pound pylon racer. The motor mounting holes are the same for both motors. The SunnySky X2212 weighs 57 grams, versus 47 grams for the Suppo, but the SunnySky motor has a prop hub held on to the rotor case with three screws and it is easy to add a spinner. No collet clamps to slip off here. The Sunny Sky X2212 motors come in many kv ratings and the permissible continuous current (power) varies significantly between them. My SunnySky X2212-2450kv motor turning a EMP 6-4 prop and powered by a 3S-1300 mah 50C Lipo measured 30.8 amps and 375 watts on my watt meter. Significantly more powerful than the Suppo which only pulled 21.9 amps and 255 watts. I only have a dozen flights on the new SunnySky, but so far I am quite glad that I bought three of them instead of just one. My next racer will also use the SunnySky instead of another Suppo I have lying around. So far I am very pleased with the other SunnSky motors I have tried (X2206-1900kv, X2305-V3-1850kv).

Trusted motors, great value, and they come with all necessary accessories for installation. Only downside is Buddy RCs preferred shipping provider charge excessive handling fees for importing into Canada so the price ends up not-so-good by the time they arrive. Would prefer the option for slower ground shipping via USPS.

Description

Specifications: The X series motors are CNC-milled and feature a hollow-designed appearance that ensures efficient heat dissipation and reduces the motor's weight. The unique design also gives the motors a strong and sturdy appearance.

Stainless steel solid shaft: The motor shaft is made of 420 stainless steel imported from Japan and undergoes heat treatment for improved strength, ductility, and resistance to bending and breaking.

6061-T6 aviation aluminum alloy: The top and bottom caps of the motor are made of high-strength 6061-T6 aviation aluminum alloy, which ensures reliable performance and has excellent hardness and tensile strength.

Imported NMB bearings: The X series uses customized NMB mini bearings imported from Japan, which provide longer life, stable operation, and quieter performance for the motors.

Hand-wound: All X motors are hand-wound by skilled staff to create tight and neat coils, resulting in a better coil space factor and increased continuous power output. This manufacturing process requires more labor, but the result is worth it.
