Introducing the SonicModell Mini Skyhunter V2, a compact and versatile FPV airplane designed for mid-range flying. With a wingspan of 1238mm, it strikes the perfect balance between portability and flexibility. The fuselage is spacious and comes with a sliding equipment tray to accommodate FPV gear and a large battery.
The Mini Skyhunter V2 features pre-molded locations for 9g or 5g servos if you plan to use rudders, as well as pre-cut hatches for gimbal, cameras, video transmitter, and GPS. It also offers multiple camera mount options, making it compatible with various FPV and HD cameras in the market. A molded hand grip enables easy hand launch, and the tail boom length is adjustable for the best CG setting.
The Mini Skyhunter V2 kit is designed for DIY enthusiasts, with all foam parts, hardware, carbon fiber tube, and strips included for easy assembly. It has been upgraded from the Mini Skyhunter V1 to reduce tail weight, with a 1mm carbon fiber sheet instead of a fiber glass sheet to reinforce the trailing edge of the main wing. Low-density EPO foam is used instead of normal EPO, resulting in a lightweight yet stiff and solid structure. The kit also includes a high-strength but ultra-lightweight carbon fiber reel pipe instead of a normal CF tube.
The Mini Skyhunter V2 boasts a new, vivid decal design that makes it easy to see when flying FPV. It weighs 830g and has a wing load of 42g/dm2, with a recommended motor, ESC, servo, propeller, and Lipo battery to be purchased separately. The package is designed to be much smaller and lighter, reducing shipping costs. The CG is located on the main spar, slightly forward for the maiden flight.
