The StratoSurfer is an impressive aircraft designed for short to medium-range, enjoyable FPV flights. Based on the original Sky Surfer, it comes with numerous upgrades to enhance your flying experience.
Blow molded fuselage with extra space. The StratoSurfer boasts a blow molded fuselage that provides more room for your accessories, making it more durable than traditional foam fuselages. Its high viz orange color makes it easy to spot in the sky and its fuselage design allows for grass and snow take-offs without landing gear, and touch and go's in the right conditions.
Flap your wings! The StratoSurfer comes with pre-molded wings, which makes it easy to install flaps without having to modify or cut into the plane. Although not essential for normal flight, flaps can be a fun feature to experiment with in flap or spoiler modes, and can be helpful in landing heavily loaded cargo. (Hardware not included)
Access hatch. The StratoSurfer's removable access hatch makes routing wires after building less of a hassle, and gives you easy access to the rear of the plane. The hatch also accommodates larger items such as transmitters or GPS units.
Large control surfaces. The StratoSurfer has large control surfaces that are more responsive than the original Sky Surfer, with an almost double-sized rudder and additional carbon fiber spars in the ailerons to eliminate flexing.
More wing area. The StratoSurfer's wings have a greater width from leading to trailing edge compared to the original Sky Surfer. This translates to more wing area, less wing loading, and increased lift for your components!
