Good price, bad at low speed

I got 2 of these to race my wife as our first RC car and FPV hobby experience. We made this sweet little home RC track out of EVA foam mats and weather strip-seal, the cars are a ton of fun and at $50 it's a great deal. I paired them with EV800D goggles (around $75-100 on Amazon) for an immersive experience. It's a lot of fun and we're getting way into it and intend on buying additional cars that are better optimized for low-speed. We thought we were elite operators but these simply go way too fast for an FPV view on an "F1-style" track, and the remote doesn't do a good job of letting the car go slower (you're either not moving or zooming at 200 mph). They are way faster than I expected and uncontrollable at high speeds. In any case, good introduction to the hobby but if you're a "buy once cry once" person you'd probably want to find slower cars from the get-go. No regrets here as these cars will be extras for when friends come over.

Product Description:

The DIATONE 1:76 Q33 karting RTR car is designed for off-road driving with its high chassis, excellent trafficability, and suitability for almost all kinds of roads. It features a new Q2 remote controller that allows for precise proportional steering and controllable braking function. The car also boasts a long battery life of up to 60 minutes, thanks to its 3.7v 110mAh battery.

The car's excellent transmission design is facilitated by its three-stage reduction gearbox that makes it more agile and fast. The car also comes equipped with a rear-wheel drive (2wd) and various functions such as forward, backward, turn left/right, proportional throttle and steering, trim function, and steering reverse (REV).

In terms of specifications, the car has a body ratio of 1:76, a wheelbase of 33mm, and a maximum steering angle of 30°. It uses a proportional drive and proportional steering mode, with a working frequency band of 2.4G. The car comes with an FPV module with a power of 25mw, 4CH channel, and working frequency band of 5.8G. The FPV module also requires a working voltage of 3.3V-5V.

The Q2 car remote control has a working frequency band of 2.4G, transmitting power of ≤25mW, and a ground remote control distance of about 50 meters (open and non-interference occasions). It uses 1.5v AA×2 batteries and weighs 97g. The remote control is compatible with the car and comes with a spare car shell for RTR kit.
