I have two OMP Hobby M2’s. One is the M2-v2, the other is the M2-EVO. Both came with what is unofficially getting to be called the “Version 2” flight controller. The OFS-3 controller came out when the OMP M2-Mk2 helicopter was released, and it was reported to be a much improved system. I ordered two OFS-3’s and indeed, they’re nicer and smoother. What they *don’t* come with is this bluetooth dongle. If you order the whole helicopter, it is included. Is it necessary? Not really, but it did allow me to modify my pitch and roll dead-band down to ZERO, which is good so far. As of this writing, it only cost $5 per helicopter before shipping and taxes. If I want to modify the characteristics of the helicopter, I can do it. I probably will mostly still be adjusting response curves through my radio. Maybe it’s a sign of the times that a cheap computer and tablet go with me when I fly, but this does make adjustments easy. I would urge caution in attempting to change parameters too much unless you really know what you’re doing though.
